Yes, exactly.  It's very clever.  We put a lot of thought into it when we created the forum.  I know you can't get a MI vanity plate with 7TH GEN at least, because it's on my car.  Although, I've always wanted to get something a little less obvious that most people wouldn't pick up on.

Although we were thoughtful, the name isn't all that original.  Several honda enthusiasts have designed their forum names (and car clubs) from the chassis codes.  Sites like EPhatch.com, CB7tuner among others get their names from the chassis code.  Scores of shirts have been made advertising DC5's, EP3's, DC2's, EG's, EK's, DA's, they all correspond to a specific car.  It is our own unique brand and it solidifies us in the Honda-verse.

As a remark, I'm only sad I didn't get to post first....I typed a response, then closed the window because something caught my eye and it never got posted....

I haven't been around long enough to see the old style of Gen7Accord, but I have to admit, I loathe the new layout over there! It's like the F from Forum, and the LOG from Blog. Like, a Flog, lol. There's too much freedom around it, so there's always duplicate information, and it's very hard to find the right info.

I found ECM out when I saw a post on Gen7Accord about the DIY for LED interior lights, which linked to here. After that, I browsed the forum a lot more, and noticed how clean and informative every topic and post was. So I decided to ditch g7a, and registered here. As Tim can vouch for, I wasn't really the best new member, lol. I waited for days for my account to be activated, then eventually rage emailed the admin account. So, Tim basically shot me down to the ground with a link showing what I was SUPPOSED to do to become activated, lol.

So here I am now, browsing the site every day, looking for a new interesting mod/topic about the Gen7's! Maybe one day when I become very experienced like Tim, Skippy, Thien, and all you other people, I'll be the one providing the help!

We're glad to have you here, Jeff, thanks for the kind words!  We're still in our relative infancy, things are going rather slow at the moment.  We transferred the good information from the old G7A before it was taken down, and we're trying to get everything in place here.  There are a few stubs that need to be worked on, and a few threads that need to be brought back from the dead, but pretty much we're concentrated G7A refugees.  This is the way the old forum used to be...when we were there taking care of it.  ECM started as an offshoot of G7A when the moderator team became frustrated with the future plans for the site.  As you can see, the moderator team has migrated here and we're doing our jobs in this haven for the way we liked things.
