I'm surprised that I couldn't find any other similar threads to this.
Anyways, this just started happening today. I was driving off to UCF to get my books, and noticed that the red airbag light came on above my fuel meter. My mom was with me in the passenger seat. I turned the car off, then turned it back on, but it didn't go away. I told my mom to get out of the seat then sit back down, and it went away. It didn't come back at all until I got close to getting home, and it came back on. Now it won't go away at all.
Any ideas on what this could be related to?

There is a sensor that turns off the airbag if a certain weight is on the seat. I don't know what the weight is but, it is ment as a child safety device. Could be the sensor?

I have that same problem. I'm pretty sure it's an SRS issue. I believe there's a TSB about it.

^What Tim said...There is a TSB on it but Honda wanted to keep mine overnight and plug it up to every computer they had to figure out the issue. I think it's more of an issue on the 6th gen's. GL man

Well it's pretty obvious that we've figured out the culprit, but I'd just like to post some information as to when it's happening. I drove to dinner, and it was off. After dinner I headed to Walmart, and it was off. When left Walmart, it was back on again. After that, it's been on ever since. It seems like it just turns on and off whenever it feels like it.
I still have to read Scott's thread, but I will read it and figure out what to do.

Hell, I've already thought about trading in for an Accord 666 because of these issues, but I'm sure that's never going to happen with the cost of college.

It wasn't an issue before 1992 so I don't think its an issue now.

You're probably ok Jeff. Mine went on and off for around 3years and never did it cause injury. Even if you get a 666 you have to deal with the 3rd gear TSB.
