Of course you have several screws loose, if you're going to do a J30 6spd swap, why not just go for a J35 already?

I knew someone would say that. I'm making payments on my car and I got into it upside down. Wouldn't be that economical for me. Buying a wrecked v6 6spd coupe and pulling what I need for the swap seems like a more feasible option. Besides, how many 05 v6 6spd sedans do you know of?

It would probably be cheaper to fix the wrecked one. Everything is different suspension brakes etc.

I'm aware of what's different. I was saying pulling the stuff out of the wrecked one and putting it into my car. A full on v6 6 spd conversion. The coupe doesn't suit my needs anyway. I have the spawn to cart around. The way this would come out cheap is if I were to pick up a car that was totaled out and salvage EVERYTHING from it.

That was my original intent. Now I have other ideas dancing around. The good thing is that my car is mostly stock so whichever route I choose I basically have a clean slate.

If I were you I would do a TSX 6 speed swap with LSD, and a turbo K series. Cham's numbers where nothing to shake a stick at, and the money you would be putting into a J30 swap would probably be approx. equal to a build like this.

I don't question that the J Series motors are capable of making power. My main concern is that there aren't as many options for aftermarket equipment for the J's compared to K's. The other major detractor for me is tuning. There is no J Pro yet. All the other EMS options that I know of lack one thing, you can't advance the timing. You can only retard the timing. I know that not having the ability to advance the timing will hurt your performance.
If I was going to build a turbo K series, I'd keep the 5 speed tranny actually. You don't want short gears with a turbo. For n/a and SC motors, shorter gears are ideal though.

Yeah, I was actually thinking of all of that. I do want to go with a snail if I kept my k and would most definitely keep the 5 spd with an RSX flywheel and upgraded clutch. The EMS options for the k is what's steering me to keep the k but who knows what will be available when I return. Just shit for me to ponder over.
