^^Yup Mike, you are correct. For anyone who cares, Blue Tec vehicles control NOx emissions by injecting urea-based solution into the exhaust upwind of the catalytic converter, where NOx is converted into water and nitrogen., Volkswagen is using a NOx storage catalyst as a reservoir to temporarily hold the noxious emissions until they can be burned off during normal engine cycles.

Only thing that sucks about that is that the urea solution has to be refilled. I'm not sure how much that costs, but knowing German cars I bet it can get pretty pricy.

That's why I'm looking at the older ALH motors, who cares about having a clean diesel anyways?1.9 is clean by diesel standards too. I'm really hoping to find a 4door Golf TDI, but I'm going to have to drive at least 300 miles to find one
