it is, but for e-1 to e-3 they are split up into 4 groups. if you work with avaition related equipment you are an airman (green stripes). if you work with surface equipment like radar and mooring lines and anchors and stuff you are a seaman (white or black stripes depending on uniform). if you work on the propulsion system such as the engine and all that stuff you are a firemen (red stripes). then if you are a seabee you are a constructionman (light blue stripes).
