I have family doing "Insanity". That stuff really works and gets you toned quick. It'll definitely increase your physical endurance. But forewarning: You have to be in decent shape just to start.
I agree that accountability helps tremendously in reaching your goals, unless you're one of those self motivators (I'm a mix between the two, depending on the day
).
And whoever is trying to lose the weight, I'll take it. Currently I'm 5'-11", 155-ish. Pathetic, yes, I know. Stupid high metabolism.

This.
I was around the same as now 220ish last year and got down to 200 just riding the bike, so that's the goal again this year. I just felt most comfortable at that. I was 180 when I left for college, pretty much gave up on seeing that again... lol

My workout routine is 20-30mins 4 days a week. I'm 5'8"
Time line:
towards the end of 2010 to about this time last year, I went from avg. 175 up to 195 (I kinda blame it on my not so ideal living situation at the time and getting comfortable in my new relationship lol)
I did about 6 months on my Total gym, but started bulking up without shedding the weight.
November 2011 I got a punching bag that I use in conjunction with the total gym. I went down to about 190, but this became too time consuming and I wasn't able to do it while I was traveling for work or working late.
March 2012 I stumbled on this app called "Workout Trainer". I chose it because I was able to tailor the workouts & programs to fit my schedule (with reminders) as well as my fitness level. They have 10-15mins workouts that are designed by trainers to help you build muscle & endurance, strengthen core, etc. 90% of the exercises does not require any equipment.
Now I'm at 183, I'm aiming to be cut & chiseled at 175
. I think I may be purchasing some workout programs in the near future. Can't really complain about a 6 week program for $9.99
and you get to keep it for life.

Last year my physician told me I was slightly overweight at 5'9 1/2" and 165 lbs. The height/weight measurement system is dumb. I told him thanks for the compliment.
Been on the stress and anxiety weight loss diet lately. Don't even wanna check how much I've lost.

BMI index should be redone society has become naturally larger. People that have prober BMI generally look like skeletons with a little bit of skin which is fairly unhealthy also.
