Tim, I don't know if you've had a chance to look around but I found a phpbb "hack" board that has just about everything you'd want to throw at this site. Smilies, backgrounds, etc. I don't know what kind of coding is involved with all this but here's the site: http://www.phpbbhacks.com/. HTH.

What about a box that shows 'what people are doing'. You can click on someone's profile and see that their viewing a certain thread or updating their profile. And to add upon this have it where you can see who is viewing the thread your looking at. I know there is something at the bottom that says, "users browsing this fourm". Just trying to take it one step further. Is this too much effort for little gain?

If this has already been suggested sorry.

Hey Tim, I made a Paypal button for you using the email you posted a couple pages back.

The end result is simply this:


I'm working on finding a good location to put the button, and I think that in the top right corner of the page would work. You can check it out here:

It can either be floating with the browser, to where it's always in the top right corner, or it can just be at the top of the page. Currently the donate button is set to stay fixed with the browser. Click here to see it in action while scrolling.

Also, I figured out how to set up RSS on phpBB. You can check it out on the dev site. I even altered the forum so that posted links will open in a new window/tab.

I added you on AIM, so we can add this donate button and RSS feed whenever you'd like.

I'd venture to guess the donate button would be better off in the bottom center. Just my .02.

Little insignificant thing. You know how on the left side of the url box for some websites there is a logo? Could we get one of those?

This can be done. It's really easy to do; we would just need something to put in there. Here's a quick mock-up of something that could go there:

It's hard to see, but it's the front end of an Accord.

Z, I added a Donate button to where you specified. I'll let everyone decide where they want it for good once we get some more placement ideas.

I agree. I didn't mean for it to be THAT low on the page. I was thinking just above the users browsing... box. Know what I mean Jeff?

Tim and I made some changes tonight.

- From now on, links will open in a new window (Note: links prior to doing this mod still open in the same window. You will have to simply edit the post, then resave it.)
- Added RSS functionality
- Added a Donate button as per Tim's location request.

I can't actually upload the page to anything right now, because I don't have remote access to my home server (security measure). I'll upload it when I get home so you can check it out as a real web page. I sliced the image into parts so that the "ENTER HERE" part is a clickable link that goes to the forum.
