Either way works for me. I'm partial to the OG way of talking on forums. Shoutboxes I normally don't use.

It never did anything for me, it was a 2nd smaller chat room. It's not worth paying for IMHO.

Yeah the shoutbox to me has always been pointless, hence why I have never said a word on it lol. Good choice in not paying for it.

FL accords did a pretty cool idea, their banner has rides of members. with every refresh or a different page opened within the forum, the banner changes to a different member's car

I like the idea. We would need a lot of pictures though. The pictures would have to be 797x163 also. Let me talk to Jeff when I have time and see if that's something that's easy enough to do. After that, I'll open up a thread to have people submit pictures in the banner size/format.

You're putting the cart before the horse there guys. I'll talk to Jeff
first
, and if it's possible for him to do it, we can start collecting pictures. I would rather have people provide pictures of their own cars (with their permission) in the correct format so that minimal editing needs to be done. I'm not about to just start searching through threads and picking off old pictures without the owner's permission. I want to be sure that the owners want their car pictured, and I want to make sure they're a current and active member.

I just had an idea. Add a man points counter. Kinda like the reps and such. Like someone posts a kick ass bacon recipe in the recipe thread and +20 man points to you!
