Tire wear was one of my favorite things to study while I was at work.  It really tied into my major since tire marks in soft terrain are influenced by wear characteristics.  If tires are overinflated, they will wear more in the center.  If they are underinflated, they will wear more on the edges.  If camber is positive (and I've never seen this by the way), they will wear on the outside shoulder, the inverse (which I have seen all too much) will produce wear on the inside shoulder.  One time I visited a forensics lab as part of a class trip in one of my classes and I was able to actually communicate with the forensic tire track specialist.  It was fun Smiley
