Does anyone know where the TB Bypass DIY is or if it has been brought over? I searched for it but no luck

I think the old forum is now gone.  I forgot what it is, but it's pretty easy to pull off.

Do you have the i4 or v6? I did it on my v6 and all I had to do was disconnect the stock lines to the throttle body and connected them to each other using a hose  mender

the only difference is that it may allow your motor to run a little cooler. i dont think it actually adds any power.

well, turns out the tb lines were not the cause of my car overheating... For some odd reason the thermostat decided to go bad

For anybody wishing to do this modification, a few words of caution...The coolant lines running through the throttle body serve an important purpose.  They provide essential heat to the Idle Air Control Valve to keep it from sticking in cold weather.  If you remove the coolant loop from the IACV, you run the risk of having the valve stick on cold days.  This will make your idle fluctuate and the car will sound very ill.  You may attempt this mod if you live in a no-snow state, but I still would not recommend it.  I have not done this mod simply because I don't want to get caught with my pants down when the cold weather comes around..

i almost did this "mod" or whatever over the weekend when i installed oil catch can
didnt wanna deal with it

i did shorten the coolant line due to the disconnection of the engine vent hose from the CAI tube connection...didnt make ssense to keep that 4 way piece involved in the equation
