I mean the only upside to this is maybe aftermarket companies will start paying more attention to us 7 and 7.5 gens instead of us just yanking parts from other Hondas and Acuras. But I know exactly what you mean! Ive seen sooo many riced out Altezza light rockin, over chromed 22" wheel rockin 7th Gens around my area too! Actually one goes to my gym and Id say hey you should modify it but then I realize hes got huge fart can mufflers barely secured, Although I am interested to hear what his sounds like either way. Damn shame!

Who cares if aftermarket companies don't pay attention to us? We've made developments by ourselves that companies haven't thought were possible.  The under dog will always incite the "ooh's and ahhh's".  All these fabulously awesome factory built race cars are nothing special.  The only reason that aftermarket companies focus on them first is because they know they can make their money in that department...but the when the cars hit a track, you'll see something that spins your head....something that you don't expect..and that's an underdog that beats out the flashy competition.

Yes...we can all acknowledge that rice is a problem and people's definition of rice is also a problem, but the fact of the matter is that if you did it and you like it, there's no problem with it.  I could care less of what people think of my car.  I don't advertise what I've got, and I don't bring my car out to meets...I just drive.  I get a lot of compliments (not as many as I hand out, but who's counting anyway), and it doesn't matter if the ricers get all the attention because of their stick-on Z3 vents, hello kitty neck pillows, Soshinoya badges, and jousting transformer graphics...they have their own subculture where they're accepted.  When they venture into MY subculture and ruin MY meets, that's when I get annoyed.

Ther are a few nice full body kits for the accord that is not one of them! I think the body kit's are going to become more and more popular because honda is going to discontinue the lip kits.

No, that car in that picture I have to say was done right if you’re going to body kit out your car.  He de-badge it and replace all the Honda logos with superman logos.  Personally it looked like a show car.   The paint was perfect and all.  Yes… Too much bling.  However, this is the point!!!! Now one with 5K in hand and a few other G’s for work can get them what we wanted from the gate.   My car when I got it was 27K.  4 years and 117K miles ago.

Since there is no true definition of what is truly rice and what is not, I will say this, Piero that body kit looks like horseshit but atleast its put on properly from what I can see
and to Skip yea of course its awesome to see the underdog car thats customized right but it does suck to have so few options to customize our cars with and I'd be happy when shopping for parts if I could see that this is for a k24a Accord and not for a TSX/RSX.

But to be honest I believe there are two true requirements for Rice

1. The massive body kit - proper lowering
2. Cheap Advanced Auto Parts/Pep Boys performance and stick on gear

Someone throw a couple of others out please!

someone asked me where I bought my body kit from yesterday.  I about punched them in their fucking face for calling it a body kit.  Its a lip kit and its a factory option what the hell.  And I get called a ricer all the time because here in WV its nothing but a bunch of rednecks and they anything that isnt from america is a rice burner.

Quote from: "Urban Dictionary"
ricer
(Ricer: from the latin word Ricarius meaning to suck at everything you attempt)

A person who makes unecessary modifications to their most often import car (hence the term "rice") to make it (mostly make it look) faster. The most common modifications are (but not limited to):
- Huge exhaust that serves no purpose but to make the car louder
- Large spoiler on the back that looks like something Boeing made for the 747
- Lots of after-market company stickers they don't have parts from, but must be cool
- Expensive rims that usually cost more than the car itself
- Bodykit to make the car appear lower, usually accented with chicken wire
- Clear tail lights and corner signals
- A "performace intake"- a tube that feeds cold air to their engine usually located in areas of excessive heat (behind or on top of the engine)
- Most of these riced cars (a.k.a. rice rockets or rice burners) are imports; Honda Civics, Accords, Integras, CRXs, RSXs, Del Sols Mitsubishi Eclipses, Lancers, Subaru Imprezas, however there are some domestics such as Chevrolet Caviliers, Dodge Neons, Ford Focus; small, slow, economy cars designed specifically to go slow. Please note that some Supras, Skylines, WRX's and other higher performance imports are designed to go fast, and are therfore not always considered rice. It really depends on the severity of the case.

The "ricer" attempts to make their car "performance" by adding the modifications listed above. These ricers are not confined to any one ethnic group or color, however different ethnic groups are known for certain styles.
Honda Civics with big spoilers and 4" exhaust tips are considered to be ricers.

Well we all know that the time is near, however what everyone else does with their ride is not of my concern. True Gen7Accord owner'z can take pride in their ride because we been here since day 1 and have modded our cars ourselves.... New Gen7Accord owner's will just slap on a bodykit and some big rims and say they hooked up thier ride when in reality they haven't slaved not even a minute of their own time.
