Saw it opening day at midnight Cheesy.

Much better than 2 fast 2 furious and Toky Drift. It had a much better story line then those too, and it had Vin Disiel. He does make the movie better in my opinion... A lot more than usual was unrealistic though....

I saw it on Friday, and again yesterday (my gf wanted to see it) and I enjoyed it both times. I liked how it tied all of the movies together and it was more down to earth than the others.

I think it was definately set up for another one...

Sorry dude....I wasn't trying to incite anything, I just wanted to hear peoples honest opinions about the movie.  As much as I hate all the rice of the first 3, I saw this one just out of curiosity and was pleasantly surprised.

In all honesty, a bunch of NYCM got together and saw the movie as a movie & meet night.  Most everyone realized it wasn't going to reflect the way in which our hobby/passion is in actuality.  While these movies aren't the best and have become almost a laughing stock by today's standards, the first one was still a huge movie (REPEAT: THE FIRST ONE) for people who are into modifying their cars, as it lead to a large growth in the industry, and this one is more of an action movie with hooked up cars, driving fast and a storyline thats got a point.

My opinion on these/this movie(s) are as follows:  It was a good ACTION movie, not a movie about street racing like morons with ricey cars and tacky one liners every 2 minutes, some of the driving scenes were very well done, and some of the scenes were downright stupid and unreleastic, there is a bit less empasis on the cars/driving in the movie this time around, it is by far the deepest and best thought out storyline of the series and tied the first and 3rd and 4th movies together.

Also for those who saw it and are suggesting/figuring there will be another, I wouldn't be too sure, because the very beginning and  end of this movie actually close the door on what happened after the first movie concluded and the 4th movie began.  If they make another one, then so be it.

This movie more of a prequel to tokyo drift and a sequel to 2 fast 2 furious. What they were trying to do in the end (not spoiling what happened but for those who saw it, ya know what I'm talking about) explains part of how Dom would made a cameo appearance at the end of Tokyo Drift.

anyways, if they do make another one again and can show another decent story line this one IMO. then i would go and see it also.

I don't know, it's just sorta funny how we are all "anti-rice", yet this is the biggest ricer movie franchise ever.  I don't have anything against anyone going to see this for entertainment purposes.  It's just my opinion, but I guess I don't think this specific movie deserves so much attention just because it's an action movie with an import car based theme.

This movie does have a good purpose though.  Cuz it inspires rice but also inspires a lot of people to mod their cars tastefully and the opposite from what they've seen in the movie.  I can honestly say that the first movie kinda had the effect on me.  Plus their are no other movies for people to enjoy that remotely have something to do with modding their cars so I think that's why people get so up in arms about it.

I saw the movie on friday at a drive-in theater.  Overall it was entertaining.  I think they did a good job evolving the storyline instead of showing just racing at "race wars".  Do I think there will be another movie, I'm sure there will because when you make 70.5 mil the first weekend, there's you budget for another one.

The only part of the movie that sucked was the end because as you can imagine at a drive-in everyone thought they were racing people out of the parking lot.  I was with a group of about 5 cars and we just stayed put until it was empty enough to roll out quietly.  Seriously everyone with an exhaust had to rev all the way out.

The plus side of being at a drive-in, I didn't have to worry about some puck trying to jack my shit while I'm watching the movie inside.  Oh well, I'm sure I'll be at Furious and Fast in 2010 lol!

I saw it, and liked it quite a bit. I liked how it kind of added to the existing story, and almost tied in with tokyo drift.
