Here's my new set up.

OEM housings (blackhoused)
S2000 projectors
Audi A4 Shrouds
Philips Ultinon D2S 6000k bulbs
Philips Gen3 ballasts
HID "kit" for 9005 high beams with 5000k bulbs
Retrofitted by Larry Wu for Jon (konatriathlon) and then traded to me
I opened them up to fix one of the A4 shrouds that had come loose.  I also blackhoused them while open, but kept the parking light/turn signal reflector chrome.   In addition to that, I also swapped the amber reflectors for clear reflectors.

Here are a few pics of them.  No close up shots or cut off shots yet.

loving the new retro tim!

Thanks.  They were Jon's (konatriathlon) old retro.

Headlight housing: OEM Blackhoused

Projector: TSX Projectors

Shrouds: Acura MDX

Color mod: Stage 3 (3 washer)

Bulbs: Phillips 81522+ D2S Blubs (5000k I believe)

DIY or Purchase and from where: Bought the housings used from a member of the old Gen7.  Opened them to fix a couple minor things.  Blubs & Wiring Harness are from my friend Matt who operates http://www.theretrofitsource.com and I got my OEM Acura ballasts off eBay.

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but I have a question. Has anyone retrofitted without black housing? Is this even possible without them looking bad? I have been thinking about doing this, but I dont want to black house them. I want them to look as oem as possible. Thanks!

I didn't know if it would be harder to make it look clean, as in nice and neat, because I have never seen a set that isn't.
