What second gear issue? Lol
Do your research on used 08 STI's and you will find out. That generation has some transmission issues

Cousin going to be giving my brother an 2000 accord 4dr. Now I need to look for stuff to fix the tranney issue or just have it replaced.

Honestly I would leave it if it works maybe add a cooler. But, when it fails just get a new one. Mazda speed 3 seems okay. A kid I know has one and beats the shit out of it, and it still runs but, it's also still pretty new. The problem with a used one is that it's probably taken a beating.

All mazda turbos have issues, oil leakes pass the turbo thru the exhaust. I think their mean cars, they say there are fixes, like heavier oil

Fixes the issues at the turbo but, probably has long term effects on the oil pump.
