If I were to get a cobra id just go ahead and get a lightning. Easier to find better priced and not very expensive to mod. Also considered a new dodge ram1500 express. The express is basically their performance minded truck. It's a lower priced truck yet comes with a 5.7 hemi. Plus it has that fuel saver thing dodge has where it shuts down two then four cylinders to aide fuel Econ

I imagine even on gas saver mileage still sucks and you'd have to drive slower then grandma to keep it in saver mode.

There is an AE86 Trueno GT-Apex for sale here locally, in really, really good shape for $5000. I would love to have it...I got to drive one once (actually it was a Levin) but on one of the cruises the guy let me drive it up and back down one of the mountains...so much fun. LoL! I would probably just get it painted to look like the "Fujiwara Tofu Shop" 86 from Initial D though Cheesy

Getting good gas mileage is all about how you drive. You can still get good gas mileage if you drive economically. That just takes the joy out of driving a quick car though.

Austin, you should get the 86. I've always wanted one as a "fun" car to drive around.

Country- The new focus/foci are fairly attractive aesthetically and financially.  The power and features aren't that bad either.  If you're into that "stance" movement, they can be modified to look fairly good, IMO.
