And no, no tax. The fees are as follows: registration fee, license fee, weight fee, special plate fee, county/district fees, owner responsibility fee, and smog abatement fee. They raised the license fee last year, so it makes registration really expensive.

I only pay like $20 for my vanity plates. It's obvious that I hate living the MA though.

It seems like most states tie on fee's that are equivilent to the taxes MA and RI pay though. I don't know either way most of your money goes to taxes.

I actually went and ordered a vanity plate today. It was $51 but that's because I got college tag. I think regular ones are $31.

In RI and MA yes. But, my parents own a home in NH where there is no sales tax, and I find that the increase in the amount of property tax is probably comparable to the amount of yearly sales tax you would pay anyway. One way or another its America and they are taking 3/4's of your money!

Whoo, new iPhone comes out tomorrow. I am going to go get one at the Apple store, but I think I am going to sell it. They are selling for $800-$900 no problem. Is anyone else getting one?
