It may have 300hp but we're tuners and like tweaking shit. Hence why I suggested the 4B11 powered one to be able to turn a dial and go.

True, but it's got what 200hp? That would take alot of dough to hit 300. But I guess the question is would it be less than the cost of purchasing a V6 Genesis? I guess you really cant put a price on the sound of a turbo spooling up.

The Theta II (4B11) found in the Genesis Coupe, while sharing the same outward structure with the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and Ralliart versions, is quite a bit different. They both share the same basic block castings, and overall designs, but the difference is in the details.

From a tuning standpoint, it seems the Theta II should be able to cope with up to about 29 PSI. This opens up a very wide range of tuning options, and indicates that 300-350 hp is well within reason. Factor in a turbo swap and some supporting mods, and you have yourself a very competent motor. It appears that a good number of 4B11T (Mistu.) parts should swap over, and the doors to tuning beyond 350 hp have been opened. It appears that the limiting factors are the powder sintered rod, cast pistons, and two bolt mains, versus the forged rods, Mahle pistons and 4 bolt mains of the World Motor version found in the Lancer Evolution/Ralliart line.

Mike, your not alone...

My dad has been drooling over this car for a while and we went out to test drive one a little while back and it really was an awesome ride. We also test drove the 3.8 V6 and that thing MOVED. I have been toying with the idea of possible picking up a new "toy" I would def have to go with the 2.0T Track model though, the theta II 2.0T was really developed to be a good base for a project car :-D

I decided to play in photoshop to see what one would look like with some work done and now I want one more...

I drove both I found the 2.0T laggy... I don't know where that 60k number came from. Maybe the the 4. 6L V8 sedan is in that price range but, the coupes are both well under 40k. I'd have to say in stock trim I liked it but, I don't think I can rock a Hyundai. If I wanted the 4 cyl turbo I'd probably buy an EVO.

Well everyone, its black Friday and I have to say that I'm hating my day so far. For the first time in the last 6 years I've been in the military, the president has not given personnel in a support mission today off. I'm glad I didn't vote for him.
