Replaced Power Steering pump inlet and pressure line O-rings. I Didn't know that there was a TSB for it. Turns out that there is an issue with the inlet O-ring's rubber. The replacements are orange instead of black. Hope this helps with the whining when it's cold.
Mines where red but am sure the color doesnt matter , it did help with the whining though

Start it up this morning, it was about 38 degrees out, and the whining was gone. Normally, at that temperature I would have to warm it up for at least 15min before it stops.

Did some touch up work on the spots I got keyed. Going to have to go over it some more as some scratches are extremely deep.

Rolled over to 150,000 miles. Took it in to get an oil and transmission fluid change. Brought my engine stand home from work at lunch, put it in the shed for now. There is a local guy selling 2 k24 shortblocks out of an 06 and 07 accord with less then 100,000 km for $300. Might have to pick one up. He also has a 06 TSX k24a2 head complete for $700 obo. I heard the 06+ TSX cams are the best OEM cams so this seems like a steal to me. I need some opinions would a k20a2/z1/z3 head be better or should I pickup this k24a2 head?

The '06 K24A2 intake cam is a little more aggressive than the '04-'05 K24A2 intake cam with 0.9 mm more lift and 12º more duration. Most people just swap the intake cam on their heads. The intake valves are +1 mm larger on the '06 K24A2 head also. If you're planning on doing any port work on the head, then get a K20 VTEC head. The K24A2 heads have had some issues with porosity in the casting which causes coolant to "weep" into the intake bowls. I think it all depends on how you're planning on building the motor and what you're building it for (n/a, turbo, sc).

Pulling my front end apart again. I've got moisture in my driver side headlight. I must not have sealed it properly the last time I took it apart.

I'm building the motor for boost, I've pretty much settled on a Rotrex unit to supply it, looking for 400-500 hp.
K24/20 frank
87.5mm Weisco Pistons 9.5:1
Manley Turbo Tuff Rods
Supertech valvetrain
ID1000 injectors
RBC IM
SSR,ASP,Rcrew or similar exhaust manifold
3" exhaust
Upgraded fuel system (pump,lines,regulator,rail etc)
Running on meth and the crappy 91 octane we have here :p
And of course other assorted things, wastegate, bov, intercooler, assorted gauges, sensors etc...
From what I've read I should easily be able to hit that mark with OEM cams and a head with little to no head work. Thanks for the info Tim.

I did a drain and fill on my transmission today. Something kind of bothers me though, everything I've seen and read says to fill the 6 speed transmission with 2.3 quarts of Honda MTF but when I drained it, at least 3.5 quarts came out of it. I put 2.3-2.5 quarts back into it but I haven't ran it yet. Did someone put way too much in before me and I should stick with the 2.3 quarts or should I put more in to match what was in there before?

I've always filled until the oil starts to come out of the fill hole. That's the general rule when it comes to manual trannies. I could be wrong.
