On a serious car note....


I have noticed that my I4 auto is lacking a lot of power. I do half city half hwy driving, so I need a lot of passing grunt. I assume the typical I/H/E would net me some. I'm almost looking into something other than bolt on. I might need to get with skippy about this.

there are soo many options that will free up power  and help produce more without oging internal u know?

but hey guys.
i got new pads a while ago for front and rear, but the rears are squelin.
sooo. i put some anti squeel on the back of the shims and it didnt work. theres like a screech when i Lightly press the pedal. not hard though. it goes away when i stop sort of abruptly. u guys think i need new rotors in the rear? i got the slotted for the front but not rear. but im thinking no one has changed em even beofre we got the car...whats yalls opinion.

This would give me MAYBE 20hp? Im looking for 40+ on the butt dyno. I want this bitch to scream.

J-dub, i am assuming i=intake and e=mc(squared) or in white man terms exhaust but que es h?

Seth i honestly dont know what to tell you... you might want to try taking the rotors to a brake shop and have them resurfaced... Are the pads full ceramic? i had full ceramic pads all the way around on the mustang and the rears squelled from day 1 some people tld me ceramic pads just squeel

On a car related note as well, My bday is coming up what should i buy my hid's which are on sale this week for 65 a set cash or have mommy and daddy buy me the yellow fogs? HAHAHAbut seriously which one? I may end up buying the hids this week i can afford them if i watch what i spend

I'd go with the fogs and just get some really bright ass lights. I had HIDs in my old Mazda, I could see like crazy but on comers would get blinded. People say to just aim them down but you can only aim so far down! If your gonna get the HIDs, save up and do a retro. You can buy a complete HID kit for around 300-400. Just have to basically put em in your headlights, more or less.

but jeremy, idk about a test pipe on a n/a car. ive heard you can lose power in some parts of the power band. kind of like a 4inch exhaust on a n'a motor/.

thats jsut what i think.
umm so the i/h/e pullies, cat(test pipe), IM..
shocker sticker will give +400hp!!!haha jk
but
bored throttle body.
maybe a p2r thermal gasket set for the im and injector base.
pay for 91 fuel sike.
but i mean MODIFIED MAG did a test on a civic si (k20) which i know is better tuned, but with a dc race header, and dc exhaust and got 17hp to the wheels.
let me think for a sec.

talk to matt and see if he still has the buddy club grounding kit it unlocks like 3 or 4 hp when the second stage of VTAKK kicks in and pulleys should give you a pretty good bit

In a word. No. Our Vtec kicks in around 2200 rpm and covers the entire powerband. It's i-vtec. It's not a true tvec you find in the V6 Accords where when you hit a certain rpm all hell breaks looks....I WISH.  :twisted:

yeah our vtak is at 2200rpm ONLY on the intake cam....GHEY!!!
thats another reason a k20a2 head is awesome on a k24 bottom end!!!.
you got iVTAK on both cams. and with hondata tuning you can of course lower vtak kick in to like 4500rpms...ahh i love HONDAS!
