You want to use the good material or the cheap??? Personally I wouldn't fix it if your considering a repaint in the feature.

i'd preffer the good stuff but it'd probably be a good idea to use the OEM stuff to match the rest...  and i'm not sure if a repainting is going to be in my budget for quite some time, i'll be spending my money on other things first. transmission/engine.  not to mention, i don't even have the full hfp lip kit yet, so i won't be repainting it till that's all done anyways.

OEM has nothing to do with matching. When I say OEM I'm referring to the clear coat. Not the paint. The difference between OEM and lets say House of colors. House of colors clear is Chip, scratch, and UV resistant the OEM type clears are junk compared to PPG or HOC. Most of the car companies use Lacquer based clears which aren't as strong as Urethane based clears like PPG or HOC. Higher end car companies use Urethane clear systems thats why a 10 year BMW paint will still look good as opposed to a 10 year old honda which will have some deterioration and fading.

For all that always ask how much to paint a whole car it depends if you want it done right. To paint a whole car and do it right and use good material will cost around $3500. But everything comes off the car so you don't get any paint lines and won't have any adhesion issues with paint pealing later on. When I say everything that including removing bumpers, side skirts, mirrors, door handles, lights, trim moldings ect.  Now if you want to go the cheap way it will cost around $2500 but nothing comes off the car it gets taped off and sprayed. If you are going the cheap way you get no warranty against pealing and from experience you will almost always have a pealing issue with clear after some time passes. It could be 1 - 3 years but it will almost always happen.

$2500 for a paint job leaving everything on the car. I can't tell you on little repairs till I look at them. I'm on the cheaper side when it comes to doing a all over paint job the right way. I went to a 4 shops last summer to compare all over paint job prices and they ranged from $4000 to $6500 to do it the right way.  Small repairs aren't usually expensive all over paint jobs are because of the amount of time and effort it takes to prep the car and the cost of the materials and to run the paint booth. Those $700 paint jobs you get from Macco are a waist of money in my eyes on a decent car they don't even sand your car most of the cheap paint places will hit your car with a wet gray scuff pad wipe the car down with ting and spray it....that is the half as way to do it and you will always have adhesion problems. I repainted 2 cars this year already from people that got a $700 paint job you get what you pay for. I let the pictures of my car speak for my work.

$3500 to do it right go to a good body shop and ask them how much to do an all over removing all the parts I mentioned and I'm willing to bet it will be over 4k. I'm willing to work with the price if you guys want to take the car apart and put it back together yourself.

Well, it looks like im gonna have to make 2 stops in Bmore.  I'm gonna have to swing up there to pick up the sway bar from steve Mr_Smc and might as well drop by for a quote.  Wont be able to do a full paint job for a while (I gotta save up for it), and might as well wait considering the crack in my rear bumper.

BTW anybody know where i can pick up a cheap OEM rear bumper?

Ok well like I said, anything i do to my car i have to save up for.  Whats the aftermarket bumper gonna cost? and won't it clash a bit with the stock side skirts and front bumper?
