I looking at 18" rims in the 6-spoke area, maybe black gloss. I know i'm gonna need to drop her, i'm just not sure what type of system/brand i should go with. Andy's Auto Sports has a few coilovers that look good and are reasonably priced (i guess) and they also have lowering springs. I just don't know what i should go with. I'm going a little partial to the lowering springs because i don't see the need to be able to adjust it. i only want like a 1-1.5" drop

which coilovers look good to you and how much are they priced? having the ability to adjust the height (at least) is FTMFW. that way you know how high or low you really want your ride, instead of just being stuck with a height prefix that a company has given for you (lowering springs). ultimately, its entirely up to you though, anything with height adjustment is also gonna cost more than any lowering spring set.

Those are Tein Basic coilovers which are decent. but I think you can look harder somewhere else just because I never heard of anyone paying for Tein basics for their asking price. (someone else should chime in). Another tip is keep your eye on the FS Threads and try to jump on it quickly if you see anything of your intrest.
As for rims, if your content with those, then go for it. What kind of tires are you wrapping them on.

I'm not sure if he was refering to not thinking about which tires to put on his rims or if he has either thought about looking through other sites for his Tein Basic Coilovers that he wants for his car because IMO from what I do know about the forums, I haven't heard of anyone paying $900 for Tein Basics. thats called thinking outside the box, maybe you should try that sometime.
Instead of correcting me, if you got something useful to say for Tremmor (in which I'm the only one trying to help him for the moment) then maybe that would actually help out the whole situation.

Damn Ryann full of some piss and vinegar tonight! Bet that man got laid! hahaha but yea Tremmor Ive got the Basics. For that price your retarded to get em!! I mean I got mine off of k20a.org while browsing for frank parts, it was like an old like page 40 thread, the dude shipped em to me for like $550 after he sold his Accord! Definately dont buy from a retail online parts store. If your gonna buy new go to google and check sales to see prices. Oh and those rims look sick, the gloss black looks awesome on blue bomber coupes, check out Steve's if you get a chance. Just remember with the exterior mods you wanna do it could end up biting you in the ass later, my gold did that to me.
About the Basics, there a lil rough for some people but I think there just right for me and Im coming from a set of half blown Koni Yellows and Eib. Sports, plus I wanna see how the basics feel after theyve been nearly slammed. Ill tell ya on friday tho.
Final thought,... Stop going to Andy's Autosport!! I know Im gonna get shit for this but if you can,.. check freakin ebay and look at one of their stores you can get a better deal on basics there! I mean shit if you wanna pay freakin $900 on suspension go get some D2 coilovers thats what Mike in NY has and that shit rides clean as fuck! Thats what I wouldve got if I hadnt gotten my awesome deal on some basics
Ok rant over!

If you want a good coilover system at a great price look at these, I have had these on my car for 2 years now and love them, they are pretty much equivelant to Tein SSPs, but at 1/2 the price.

I've built a couple 2JZs, what he looking at???
He doesnt know shit about cars and wont take me with him up the the mechanics. It keeps shutting off whenever it is at idle. The mechanic told him there is some kind of "motor" that opens up the valves. I am thinking he might be talkin about the idle air control valve. I am trying to figure out what he is talking about so I can do some research and help him out. Ever heard of this problem of single turbo supras? thanks
Yeah, they have a IAC simular to the ones on 6th gens....
would that be making it cut off at idle?? if that valve is bad?

ROFL Blinx
. Naw man, all I was doing was just trying help Tremmor out and I asked him a question then B_beau just comes out of no where JUST to try to correct me instead of helping the man out. Thats kind of bullshit that pisses me off and I wont stand for it, especially when its somewhere online and everyone can read it. For me, I was able to get used to it pretty quick as far as riding comfort and I've been happy by how the car manuevers during turns and wouldn't want to go back, unless of course I'm getting rid of the vehicle.
You seemed pretty happy about the graphite pearl/gold theme you had going on for awhile so what was the change of mind? dont get me wrong, I like the new look better with everything matched personally. D2's have been a pretty good alternative to Tein basics from what I have heard as well and if Mike (Bluek24a4, not a member of this forum) has had them for over a year and is able to get around New York streets with no issues.

I personally haven't heard of Nex GT coilovers before, but if Paul says hes content with them and have held up for 2 years, then I would say they are a good alternative as well.

most likely, depending on the date. Since I'm supposed to be taking a week off (pending for approval at the moment) during the last full week of this month (4/20-4/24). Scheduling is pretty tight where I work so asking for another few days off a short time later might be out of the question, but I will at least try to submit another time off request form next month to take a chance of finding out. Since Virginia beach has now been agreed on as far as location, have you guys come up with a date yet? Sorry I haven't chimed in that thread, but I didn't see the point of doing so unless I know I can commit to it.

Yea I was about to say I loved the look of the D2s and the ride, never been in Pauls car but Ive heard the NEX-GTs are good, also I think there a good $50 somethin less than the D2s well either way I think most of this convo should be in a suspension thread. Prolly should ask questions there ya know. But I will say being able to adjust ride height with coilovers has made my car muuuuuch more versatile, I couldnt imagine going through the winter as low as I was with my Konis.
On another note no need to flame or flame back when people make smartass comments or stupid responses, were a squad ya know! I mean come on guys! If theres anyone we should be fighting it should be those god damned C'nooks in TOCM!!! Maple Leaves my ass!!!
and For the record that was a joke for those of you who dont understand my online biggotted sarcasm!
