What is it about ECM?
«

I got to thinking that while I may not post much, I still participate from time to time and I value the friendships that I have created here at ECM, but what is it about ECM that makes it different? I think I came to the conclusion that unlike other forums, this is not bombarded by the masses. There is an actual process to ensure that this remains a tight community of friendship and support, not drama and bullshit.
I think that is why this is the first forum, although my interest in my Accord has dwindle to nothing more then a daily driver, yet I still remain and check the new posts everyday.
I am glad gen7accord made the changes they did, otherwise who knows if I would have ever made my way over here. Thanks everyone for keeping the community strong and worth coming back for more.

I'm happy that you feel this way although. A the checks and balances make a big difference but, the fabric of this site is the members.... We have a great foundation here, and I hope that we can continue to add more great people to our little piece of the Accord community.

I completely agree with both you guys. And Scott, I couldn't have said it better myself. Hell, if you look at the other forums I'm a member of under the same username, you'll notice my activity over there is nowhere near as much as here. I like the "tight knittedness" (if that's even a word) of this forum over the others ten fold.

^it's a word now Z.. and I fully agree.. I like the small community feel that we get here, we all have a sense of family on this board, and it's a wonderful thing. on other sites it just seems like a big city with tons of people that clutter up my life.. here it's just a small town where every one knows one another..

Brian, if you start going into the Cheers theme song, I'll ban you for a month.
J/K. But seriously.

I like this site a lot. I was a member of gen7 in May of 07 then went inactive. I joined this site February of this year and havent been inactive since. I really enjoy the site; it has so many useful people and information, so I stick around here. Thanks for keeping it up admins.

I guess he has money to burn. I'd rather waste my money on parts that actually make my car faster, hookers, and drugs. Fucking amateurs. :

ALL
of you guys are weird. I can picture all of you sitting in the corner of a garage sniffing gear lube.
Seriously, this form is like a small classroom, you get that one on one attention that with the bigger forums you can get lost in.

I don't sniff gear lube Jeremy since our cars don't use it. I sniff leftover high temp paint from engine parts and brake calipers.

The size is definitely the largest difference between how ECM operates as opposed to other places such as the new gen7space, DA, or V6P. Here on ECM, it's a very tight place; so tight, in fact, that you can smell Z's ass coming towards you if you don't post pics.
In all seriousness though, this has been the absolute most informational and educational forum about cars that I have ever been to. I also have to hand it to the administration of this forum. If it wasn't for the organization you guys have, ECM would have become another gen7space.

LMAO! We're making Tim cry!
But I do love this site! Any other forum that I visit any large thread has at least a 5-10 page tangent that has nothing to do with the original topic; so I would like to thank the admins as well.

Hell, we try. But the most kudos goes to Tim for this site and all the changes that have been made thus far.
