I use to put 89 when I first got the car for a couple of months, then switched to 87 and never looked back.

Any 87. I run 93 on occasion to slear up the fuel system but considering running 89 from now on. I did notice a slight increase in mileage with the 93 over 87.

i run 87 now, but i've kept a spreadsheet of my mileage at each fill ups for the past year. for half of that year i was using premium, 93. there was a slight increase with the use of premium at first, but over the course of time, and when i placed mods onto my car(pulleys first, then TSX IM) there were increases as well. but the best mile i have ever gotten in my car, was with regular, 87. 34.43 mpg, changed the oil and put the cold air intake back on.

its all about driving style with MPG. yes some mods help increase mileage, but they also help decrease the mile.

in my mind, not enough of a difference with the smoothness of the engine, and mileage increases with premium to keep running it. not to mention it costs more, at least $.30 more around here.

V6 is a different story.  It was designed to run on either regular or premium. I remember someone saying the V6 will gain about 10hp with the 93 octane.

yea its a 13 hp gain from 240 to 253.  i can honestly feel the difference in the butt dyno on the rare times i use 87 for a few fillups

Just make sure it's a top tier gasoline brand as cited from a GM engineer. I use Shell, that's the only TTF around here. If it were avaliable, I'd use Chevron.

Yeah, I've had the discussion about different types of fuels from different gas stations.  It looks like I'll be running Shell from now on with the new motor.

My gf and I both run 87 in both our Accords. We drive so much I don't think we could afford a higher octane right now.

I just put 93 in it usually from Kroger or Sams. We put 93 in all of our others cars so I dont see why not mine.  Kinda off topic but how much can you guys get in your tanks. I pretty much ran mine to empty and was able to get 17 gallons in it but I could see gas which I know isnt good.
