I was in water that was 1.5 ft deep one time and no problems. Then again I did not have CAI. You have to be pretty dumb to approach any puddle higher than .5' with a CAI.

I'll have to measure how high my intake sits when I have time. That's really the best way to figure out when you're safe to traverse puddles.

I don't know about you folks but, It's often tough for me to tell how deep a puddle is when approching it.
