whats your thoughts on the V6 upper strut bar on yur I4?

would like to do it eventually... that V6 bar looks alot stiffer and thicker than any of the strut tower bars i've seen for sale....

it works just like any other strut but is a better value, plus i like the honda theme.

its personal preference, i like the easy access. it allows me to change what im listen to without having to take my eyes of the road for very long.

That's cool. I'm getting the TSX IM soon too, so hopefully that'll make it better (can't do TSX TB ). How was the difference when you installed your TSX IM? Did it make the intake any louder? lol

I'm also pretty pleased with my K&N intake... the heatshield can get pretty hot sometimes, so at least I know that it's doing its job! I wonder what kind of metal they used for that... I may mod myself an even better heatshield, lol.

Eh, I was just reading online about other people doing the same thing I'm thinking about doing. Let's just say it'll be a waste of time. :P

I still think that making some sort of scoop under the drive side fender could improve the airflow a little bit... Theoretically it makes sense. Instead of the air having to go throw the grill and swerving around the radiator and such to get to the intake, it could just come up from under the car and go straight to the intake. Call me crazy, lol.

i think it would be interesting to see but i dont know if the time spent would be worth the performance gain, not unless you had forced induction and in that case you would have a custom intake anyway.

It's a fun thing to do, though, lol. I looked underneath where the fender extended to the bumper cover, and noticed that there's 2 fairly sized holes, and a bunch of vented holes, but they were facing the wrong direction. I'm thinking if I just cut that whole fender extension off, the mud flap on the front of the tire would push the air upwards.

Then again, like you said, it may not be worth it. Oh well. Maybe I'll just stick a 12v fan in front of the filter, lol. At the very least, the heat shield is sure working, because the engine area is a hell of a lot hotter than where the filter is. The intake pipe was pretty hot, however. I'll have to give that heat tape a shot.

Sorry for jacking your profile thread to post my mod ideas, btw, lol.
