I'm really considering lowering my CM but I need some advice.
I have 215/40/18 size wheels, I want the top of the wheel to be even with the lip of the wheel well,
I really, really don't want a bumpy ride, anything close to the stock ride is perfect,
since this is a family sedan I need to keep the feel.
As we all know New York City is very unforgiving when it comes to potholes, I mean I'm okay with
it but when you have your wife drive the car they sometimes forget how to manuever through these
city streets.
Also I'm not trying to spend an arm & a leg, times are tough, a lot of you know what I mean.
Any & all advice will be greatly appreciated.

i've been very happy with my s-techs and stock shocks....my ride is close to stock and it gives a nice drop...IMO its not worth it to pay for the pro-kit and not even be able to hardly notice the drop at all

With any drop you will lose ride comfort. Reason being the springs have to be stiffer. Performance and comfort are interconnected....improve one...decrease the other.

+1 on that I've seen his drop in person, low enough to be a snow plow during the winter here in Michigan but totally worth it.

i like my function & form coilovers so far but they do give you a big drop, even if on the highest perch

Thanks for the feedback guys, that being said I really have to stress the fact that I absolutely can NOT have a bumpy or a stiff ride.
Also, I was wondering if springs & shocks or just springs or coilovers would do the trick and which one would be the better bargain.

Honestly if your looking to not lose ride quality I would suggest getting the HFP suspension. It won't bring you as low as these other options but, will probably be the closest to maintaining stock feel.

you guys on the pro-kit...are you on stock shocks??  and i hardly believe that its a snow plow affect unless your getting 6+inches of snow and you have a lip on your car.....im grew up in NE ohio so have driven in plenty of deep snow when my s-techs were installed and didn't "plow" anything

There is no way to keep the ride at "stock comfort" and be low enough to have your tires line up with the bottom of your fenders.  It's just not going to happen.  The HFP kit might be a happy medium for you though.

I would go with either the HFP kit or a neuspeed supercup kit... I personally like the supercup kit you can adjust the ride height by adjusting the spring perch and you can adjust the stiffness of the shocks

Pro-kit and Tokico HP blues are a good setup. I've been running this for a while now...OEM shocks are a bit bouncy with Eibach springs. But if your roads are good you can get away with it for a while.
