was talking to my cousin, he's a big raider fan. he was saying how well the turn around on alex smith was.... alot of people look at it like this man 6-10 last year to 13-3.
the way i look at it.alex smith has one job to do. complete half his passes. thats it. he was able to do that most games. except in the 4th quarter last sunday. to me it looked like he was too nervous, back to the 0-6 niners he once was. niners cant win a superbowl with that guy. if he starts with the niners next year. i probably wont watch the nfl. but what if he get payton manning?!?

I don't know if Alex Smith has really been given a true opportunity with consistent coaching.  Seven different offensive coordinators in seven years.  It also did not help that Mike Singletary kept switching between Alex Smith and Troy Smith during the season; which is not conducive for player consistency nor player confidence.

i agree with the coach thing but.. still watching the game last sunday in the 4th quarter, no discredit to the giants, but alex smith couldnt  throw shit. only reason it went in to over time was because our D was able to hold. hes lebron james of the nfl. great 3 quarters doesnt show up in the 4th. honestly if manning leaves i believe the niners should be his top choice. everything is in place just need a qb. i know the dolphins want him, but if he wants a ring i would say sfo is a great shot.
