I agree with Ward.  Some of the calls these refs are making are down right retarded.  Don't even get me started on the stupid fines the NFL has been handing out all season. 

Just another reason to hate Brady.  All the babying of players and fines for hits started when he hurt his poor little leg.

Yes because a successful business would let the star players that bring in the fans and viewers get hurt. Those penalties and fines are 100% correct. If they were not in place careers would be shorter, and ratings, attendence, and earnings would suffer. You don't like Brady because your envious. People watch football for the hard hits and awesome plays, just like people watch Nascar for the crashes.  Getting rid of them would hurt football more then anything. 

Who cares how long a player's career is if no one is watching?

I just looked quickly, and ratings were the highest ever last year, and were up 17% at the start of this season. There business model is 100% successful. There is more money to be had by attracting the casual fan then keeping the yahoo's.

The NFL "crackdown" on hard hits only really started a couple of weeks ago.  It's way too soon to notice the impact it will have.

It won't, and its being pushed by the NFLPA (keep our players safe) yet they are the first group to bitch about the fines. They want a safer game but, then bitch when the game is policed. I'm all for the big hits but, I see where keeping the stars healthy makes sense as a business. The NBA has done it for years. Star palyers get a guy within a foot of them when there shooting its a foul.
