I have to give you that. I'd be willing to bet the sox still win the season series, and get a playoff spot so i'm not worried. We have to starting pitchers that are hurt it makes a differance a big differance

Wow, this is too funny but I unfortunately have to agree to an extent.  I am all about the Yankees, and love other Yankees fans to chime in, but yes, a lot of "fans" don't show up until times are good, where were these fans back in May and June when we lost two series to the Nationals and Marlins, got shutout but Atlanta and were 8 games out of first place, our pitching was struggling and so was our hitting, but ehh its the nature of sports, its tough for fairweather fans to stick by a team in bad times.

I mean, even on FB, all these people who NEVER mention a damn thing regarding baseball all of a sudden becomes these die-hard fans when a BoSox-Yanks series rolls around and we are winning....sort of sucks, especially when same said fans start talking sh*t like they have any clue what is/has been going on for the last 4 1/2 monthes (ROLO, not directing this at you at all, just ranting on the topic of fairweather fans).  I suffered through the late 80's and early 90's teams, which were effing terrible, with the exception of Don Mattingly and a few other players, and I rooted for them as hard then as I do now, weather my team goes 70-92, or goes 114-48, I am behind them through and through.

Watching Victor Martinez celebrate after hitting a devastating, 2-run HR...shitty...watching the Red Sox steal the momentum...Shitty, watching the Yankees strike for Back to Back HR's, and 4 runs all on 2-outs to deflate Red Sox fans again, and sweep them right outta the Bronx...Priceless!!!!!



And on the note of 8-4 against us - It took us just 4 games to establish that, when it COUNTS (not in April/May, hint hint), when the big showdown came, we dominated the most important series between the two teams this year so far, you can keep holding onto those 8 games, but your 6 1/2 out of first...enjoy battiling for the WC!!!
