The Sox are on a downslide might be accurate but, the only part you left out is that the Yankees are coming down faster. We have young pitching, and prospects available for alot of positions unlike the yankees. For god sake there are empty seats behind home plate and you built a stadium that holds less people!!!!!!! The yankees are in just as much trouble as the Redsox. Sabathia is over rated Look how horriable he pitched against the Sox in his career!!! Oh and Dice K might be out but I believe the pitcher used in his place gave up 1 run yesterday!!!!

Sabathia single handedly got a team into the playoffs who hadn't been there in 25 years, Wang is killing me so far as much as I like the guy, but he will turn it around.  Masterson is, eh average, but I wouldn't count on him long term yet.  As for no farm system, we are actually quite stacked in almost every position minus 3rd base (the only one we need), an Baseball America claims us the 4th highest rated minor league system in baseball.  I think we'll be OK.

As for the HR issue in the New Park, lefties are gonna be smacking them out NP, righties who knows.

Sabathia single handedly got a National league team into the playoff's while pitching for a contract. He's pitching in the AL east now which honestly including the Yank's has 3 of the top 5 teams in the MLB. He is in this division at best a 20 game winner which does nothing for you but, replace what moose did last year. Either way the season is 162 games, and comes down to the same thing every year. The teams with less injuries win. I'm a sox fan but, honestly I think the sox and Yankees match up very well this year. I give a slight edge to the sox over the entire season just due to the depth of the pitching staff, and bullpen. Offensively we are about equal.

he still pitched them there, regardless of circumstances.  I'll see you tomorrow.  you better PRAY Lester beats Chamberlain tonight, or I'll be ball bustin, LOL.

You forget we got a guy named Burnett who is every bit capable of doing exacly what Beckett does, our pitching matches up well, but I give us an edge in the backend of the rotation (You have Penny, Wakefield and Masterson, matching up to Wang (he will get right as the season goes on), Chamberlain, Pettitte (who is 3-0 and has pitched 7 innings in each of his first 3 starts giving up 2 runs or less in each) your lineup is currently better as we have a gimpy Matsui, No A-rod, No Nady, No more Abreu.  On the flipside, Cano very well may win the batting title this year, he is hitting .370 so far, and Jeter is scorching as well(I know you Red Sox fans hate him to death (similar to how I want to rip my eyebrows out every time Youkilis comes to bat), but the guy is just that good)

Since your whole argument has been based on pitching I'd like to point out a couple of things.

A. You got swept this weekend, and Pettiet is so slow not one but, two people have stolen home on him in his career!
B. The Yankees offically have the highest ERA in the MLB! How about that pitching boys?

^ See that's one thing I hate about NBA that is somewhat starting to transition ot college basketball is this flopping shit! I cant stand it! Or when they go up for a shot and are only concerned with drawing contact and if no contact is made this ugly ass shot is thrown up because they werent even trying to make the shot, just trying to draw a foul. Just try to put the ball in the basket motherfuckers!

Sorry was busy watching my Rangers get knocked the fuck out, 3 straight games, Ugh.  As or my theory on pitching, you played and pitched better this weekend, and you guys are hot right now, ill concede that much.  But for chris sake, we suck EVERY April, and with the exception of last year, we get scalding hot in may/june and will run off a couple of 9-10 game streaks, ande be right back on your heels, do you remmebr 2007 when we swept you guys ina  couple series, what happened to the sox that year, ohhh they only won the World Series.  See ya next weekend for payback in the Bronx.  As for ERA, and I can tell you know baseball, we'll see where we are at in a couple monthes, cause I sure as hell know it ain't gonna be anything like the first 20 games.  I mean the do you really think Seattle will be there in two monthes behind ERIK BEDARD AND FELIX HERNANDEZ, no way, the ROYALS are up and coming, but aren't there yet, the JAYS, they all do the same fucking thing year in and year out, they come out of the gates hot and have ZERO staying power, look at those amazin Rays this year, one year wonder (not making the playoffs, I'll say it NOW, so you can rub it in my face later), Athletics and Tigers in 06, Indians in 07, one year wonders, the real teams play well from mid-may on.  Angels get Lackey, Santana and Escobar all back in the next 10 days, they will win their division, AGAIN.  Yankees and Sox will battle for the division, loser takes WC, I see it being White Sox in Central, maybe a chance for Tigers if they get their pitching in line.   I can go on, but I am tired, TBC later

Well, just chiming in here, 3 straight games of good starts/appearances from our pitchers, with the exception of our bullpen hiccup on wednesday night (6 shutout, 7 1 run, 7 4 runs (3 earned)), and finally hitting in the clutch, Looks out Sox, Yankees are starting to hit their stride, also getting A-rod back in the next 7-10 days, were coming for you!!
