 Until recent years I was never called a front runner but I grew up in the Bay area so it was either: niners or raiders, A's or Giants. my aunt lives in sfo and when i was a baby i was put in giants, and niner stuff or thats how I got my teams. at least your in New york, here on the west coast you see yankee fans or pat fans  and you ask them why they chose that team and people in college say" I didnt get in to foot ball or base ball till I was 20 -23" so I cant take them seriously.

Well I'm from New York, I moved to the West Coast last April  . But yeah, if you haven't been a fan of a team since a young age and like one a 20yrs old? Just lol at them and keep it moving.

If anything its Hockey/Basketball season. Why would I care about baseball game 20 out of 162 when there are playoffs going on. Baseball suffers because the season, and games are to long. I don't have 3 hours to watch a meaningless game in may.

I agree.  The only time I can really sit down and watch a baseball game is during the World Series.

Extremely false, I think hockey is retarted, all they do is fight every 5 minutes and its allowed. Like if I wanted to watch fighting, I would just turn on UFC. That sport is only watched by very few people.

Baseball cannot be any shorter than 162 games because even the worst teams can beat the best so there needs to be a big span of games to see who really is the best (at least for the sake of pennant races). The season doesn't suffer at all, just for you, you don't understand the game.

Also no, even games in May mean something because it will down the line. Yes, it's boring to watch but when shit gets down to the wire, it not only gets much funner, but those games are looked backed on.

So the worst teams can't beat the best in Basketball? Hockey? Football?  They all have shorter seasons, and are able to accomplish the same goal.

I'm not going to lie, I think the basketball season is too long too; 82 regular season games, to only be compounded by 7 game series in the playoffs.  Honestly, I don't see the purpose to having a 7 game series in the playoffs for any sport besides the reason for making more money.

Basically, I don't have the time to watch every sport game, so I have to pick which ones I want to watch when I do have the time.  Am I going to watch a regular season baseball game, or watch a playoff basketball game?

During the olympics the roads are basically empty and even at stores etc... people are still watching the game you can her the whole city erupt when they score a goal it's really something else...so ya a lot of people watch hockey

It's not all fighting I'm not sure if you've ever played a game on ice before but if you haven't I recommend it. A minute or two on the ice racing back and forth, grants a whole new appreciation to the sport and the condition these athletes are in.

Things can get heated pretty fast in a hockey game it's the nature of the sport if someone hits your goalie, would you just let it happen? No you stick up for and protect your teammates, Fights happen. It's not what the whole sport is about.

Ok, Canada, the only country in the world that play and love hockey. And sorry but yea, it's what looks like the whole sport is about, fighting, even when it's really not. They really square up and waste 10minutes of gametime because of their pussy egos. Fight after the game, not during it for an excessive amount of time.

It's not like baseball, yeah you hit a guy, the other pitcher hits you guy, benches clear, some fists are thrown but its seperated. In hockey, officials just move aside and let it happen lol.

Canada is not the ONLY country in the world who play and love hockey. In fact, Sweden, Finland, Russia and even some Asian countries are embracing it for it's athleticism and competition. Yes there is fighting sometimes, but if you watch, it's only in the North American version of the game run by an AMERICAN... just saying... I play it every week and I love the sport so please don't bash it unless you know something about it.

I also love watching and playing football and baseball, which are both considered "American" past-times...lol go figure.

It's what I said in the beginning, we each have our opinions, tastes and  understanding of the sport we love, just like cars, to each his own.
