03-05->06-07 HFP lip and vice versa

Alright, so if you were following from my recent post on Silver finishes, you'll know my current dilemma.  

But now, colors aside, I was wondering if anyone had pictures of the 06-07 coupe lip on their car?  The only car I've seen so far is Philly Steve's Shark, and the stock photo from the lip/body kit guide

I kind of like it, I kind of don't.  Maybe it's simply because I've been bombarded with pics of 03-05 lips, and I just perceive that to be more normal, but the 06-07 just doesn't seem to flow as well.  Close up, it looks very much like an attachment, ruining the smooth lines of an already smooth car.  Whereas the the 03-05 lip compliments the car without making it bulky.

...Yet at the same time, looking at Philly Steve's, it does look aggressive...  and it could grow on me.  

lol, I used to be indecisive.  Now I'm not so sure.  

Right, so if anyone could post more pics of the 06-07 lip, it'd be much appreciated!

He's talking about the front lip for those who didnt see the other post. (cause we all know the 06-07 rear lip is way better

Brian from ohio has a black 07 coupe i must say the lines look much less pronounced on a dark car.

I don't really like the way the 06-07 front lip is so big. it's like its not part of the car. i'm kinda wondering how an 03-05 front lip would look on an 06-07 coupe and if it would actually look like it belonged there

i've thought about deleting the parts above the foglight and having a body shop sand the edges down and repaint.

Yup, there's someone on v6p (I can't remember who) who put an 06-07 lip on an 04 coupe.  I did nab a pic off him



I've decided, despite the great low price, I'm not going to install it.  Unfortunately, being a blow out sale, they won't accept returns.  So if anyone's interested in an 06-07 lip, I'll be posting an ad soon in the Parts for Sale if I can't sell it locally!

the pic that jellynuts posted is a car from Canada, so yeah we got DRL lol

I've seen another car similar in person and yes the 06-07 front lip does line up but with some gaps around the fog light and bumper opening.

Another member here in Toronto also fitted a 06-07 rear lip on a 03-05 coupe with no issues at all.

Because Honda was having the blowout sales, a lot of guys decided to experiment with the fitments between 7 and 7.5 gens

i have seen this kit in person, and just want to warn you guys that if you mount the 06-07 lips on 03-05 coupes, you might not be able to access you fog lights... the skirt sits differently on the vent.

I've found the thread talking about mounting the 06-07 lip on the 03-05 coupes, but I'm wondering if you know if it's possible to mount the 03-05 lip on the 06-07 coupe without too much cutting etc.

Also, as far as your question goes, I've seen some that have done it because they don't like how the 06-07 lip looks. My guess is, it should go on with very little effort but I don't have a coupe and can't confirm or deny that.

So I bought the complete 03-05 kit and mounted it on my 06 coupe with little hassle. The mouth in the 06/07 bumper is a bit wider so I had to cut about 2 inches off of either side of the middle part of the lip. There's a vid posted on youtube of someone doing it for their sedan and I basically followed his lead.

The rear and sides fit perfectly without any adjustments.

A friend of mine said he'd be glad to take some pics of my car with his slr so I'll post some when we get a chance to do so...
