Anybody know how to reset the "CHECK FUEL CAP" message? I've driven through a whole tank of gas and it hasn't gone away.  Trying to reset it and seeing if it comes back before I replace the cap.  Thanks is advance.

I think I'm just going to disconnect the battery and see if that clears it out.

I don't have that message. I guess if you have tried going through a tank and it doesn't go away, resetting it by disconnecting the battery is a good start.

Try cleaning the O-ring on the cap before you replace it.

I had this happen the other week to me. I ended up getting out my car and closing it correctly. After fixing it, the warning was still there. Got out again, fixed it again, made sure this time and after a few mins, it went away.

Thats cray cray, got this today early in the AM, chilly (for AZ). Turned car off, reset cap, still there. Left car on, reset cap, still there.
Pushed trip reset, msg went away.
About 3 hours later started car again, message still there. This time just hit trip reset and it went away.
About 3 hours later, now warmer around noon... start car and no gas cap msg. Wtf lol

Just so you know, this light went off after like 300 miles of driving.  Took a month an a half to do that.
