Hey guys -  I just came across this recall for Takata airbags that affects nearly 8 million cars here in the US.  Basically the defect in the airbag causes too much force to be exerted upon deployment and  turns them into frag grenades rather than life saving devices. 

7th gens are on the list, and honda in general makes up over 5mil of the total affected vehicles -  so go to the site below and check your vin to see if it's affected.

When I went to check my VIN there was so much activity that it was down. I had to call Honda of America. He said it depends on the location. Meaning cars in warmer climates are effected. Ryan D who is a tech at Honda said don't just go into the dealership. He said it's better to call because they have to order VIN specific parts. 1-800-999-1009 and hit option 4. Have your VIN ready...

Thread revival...I've heard Honda expanding the recalls to not just those in warmer climates...still trying to find any source validating this. Has me worried again.
