Explanation:
Few weeks ago I was talked into making one from a female friend and now I tend to get on a few times a week and randomly add the people I know on the sidebar (the 'You may know these people' thing; they're all mostly from high school lol)

lol, pretty much same thing happened to me, freshman year of college..the girl that lived next door physically grabbed me, sat me down and forced/made me a facebook lol...i actually check/use it often now. I've had two classes so far were people have made FB groups were we can exchange hw answers/explanations

Same here. I have a myspace page and rarely use it. Hell, I even have the damn app on my phone and don't click on it.

I had one. My sister kept bugging me to make one. I told her that I dont want one. So she made one for me. After about 4 months of not knowing what to do with it I deleted my account. If you guys want to keep in contact with me you can have my cell number and text me. You can call it a superpoke if you want

I have one too only because my friends made it for me one day.. only time I ever get on it is if I get a email on my phone saying someone added me.. The thing i dont get is why on earth do people sit there and use that friend finder or whatever it is and just look for people. I have way to much going on and if i dont talk to you now there is probably a reason!!

i'm on it.  my company uses it a bunch for advertisements/web.2.0 medium so all of us in the marketing group are on it.  its kind of fun to see what everyones up to these days

I use it too but be careful what you post on it, keep it clean and keep your public business private, only share photos you don't care if anyone see's, etc.  

Im two and a half years removed from college, could you imagine what FB would be like if it was around in your high school days....jesus christ, FB relationships, good lord, the horror.  "I saw on FB you like so and so" it makes gossip like 1000 times worse

Tell me about it. My own sister got mad at me over some stupid bullshit (because I changed schools) and removed me as a friend on facebook. How mature. She'll be 32 this month.

I was on myspace and it was just horrible.  I would get girls that would request me or message me and it would cause tension between me and Ashley so I just abandoned it at that point. Then around the time I got back on it was so popular that's when my work started blocking social websites.  After that I never really had any desire to mess with any of that stuff.  All the people I really want to talk to I either hang out with or talk to on the phone via actual talking or text.
