Mine took a few days and may have been over humidified. I re-calibrated my hygrometer last night/this morning. I recommend the salt test as salt with a little bit of water, makes a perfect 75% relative humidity. The calibrate feature of the hygrometer should be set to 75(if a xikar hygrometer) as 75% is a constant. I took pictures of the process of setting up the salt test.
First you take a bottle cap, I used the one from my brothers diet coke, and fill it with regular table salt.
Next, you're going to lightly drizzle water on the salt until it is wet, but does not have water standing.
Now that you've done this, simply place the hygrometer and the salt filled cap in a ziplock bag and seal it.
Lastly, you let it sit for 4 to 12 hours and then you press and hold the calibrate button. This should make it show 75% RH. Boom! You're done.

Ike, I've had my smaller 120 count humidor take a week to season properly, but that's because the lid wasn't sealing properly. Once I fixed the seal, it went along much faster. With my 500 count humidor, it only took a few days. It all depends on what the Rh of your humidor is before you start seasoning. The only way to really know is to use a calibrated hygrometer to monitor the Rh throughout the process. Be careful that you don't run into the same issues as Country and over humidify your humidor. Then it will require more maintenance to get the Rh back down.
Another thing to remember is that your cigars will also bring moisture to your humidor.

I think i may have somehow messed up the calibration process the first time causing all of my issues. This morning when I went to calibrate the hygrometer, it was sitting perfectly at 75. I calibrated it and put it in the humidor. When I checked it before work, it was down to 70%. Hopefully it will be closer to the desired 65 percent when I get home from work/gym

I'm more confused than a bachelor in a family reunion. Got home, humidor still at 70. Left it open an hour, down to 66%. Checked it 30 minutes later, 67%. Hopefully it'll start to level out.

I have four packets of the Boveda 84% One-Step Seasoning Kit if anyone wants them. Four packets is enough to season up to a 200 count humidor. They have enough life left to season several humidors. Just pay shipping and they are yours.

I wish I had another humidor to season. Both of my humidors are sitting at 65% right now.

You're doing good then. Let it sit and the humidity will go down naturally. Remember that the Rh will fluctuate slightly, so don't stress out about 1-2% above or below your target. You'll drive yourself crazy and end up chasing your tail trying to keep it at a rock solid 65%.
