^Yes, he is. Hopefully he has some info on that.

Flashpro yielded 8whp/5wtq for a FBO Type S 6MT. However, it gained 20whp or so at VTEC. The results are posted on Acurazine (i_love_cars). He said the car drives much better (no more issues anywhere) and it feels much faster overall.

I really hope this helps companies realize there is a market for J Series powered cars now.  I think when there is a good tuning solution, the aftermarket support will progress.  I would love to build a J powered car, but the fact that there has been no suitable tuning solution has held me back.

Tim, your car is in another league  Afro

Not really, but thanks.

^ Yea, since Hondata supports 'some' of the J community, hopefully there will be some more aftermarket support. Someone already wired the harness into a 6G Accord running a J35a8, so it's definitely doable. I believe he was able to make it work for the 04-06 ECU, which means it could potentially be available for the J30a4/5 and 04-06 TL, considering we can use their ECU.

Most of the 'swapped' cars are cable throttle though, leaving a bit more to be desired. AEM came out with an EMS, but apparently it's not all that.

Yeah.  I'm not sure if the AEM is the best solution.  It really would be great to be able to use a cable tb with a swap car.  I wasn't aware that the flashpro only supported DBW tb's, but it makes sense.  That seems to be a limiting factor for anyone that has a built J.  DBW tb's only get so big when you use OEM, and I don't know of any reliable aftermarket ones available (yes I'm excluding Skunk2).  It would be nice to see a larger DBW tb available for the J, or the possibility to switch over to a cable tb.  Either way, this is really good to see things moving in this direction.

Since when would Junk2 be reliable? I know you're not saying it but that goes for any Junk2 fanboy that would happen to stumble on this conversation while trolling the interwebz.

That's why I excluded Skunk2 from the list of reliable products.  They have a reputation for low quality (i.e. - not reliable) products and poor customer service.  Anyway, back on topic again.  Is there anyone that has tried this FlashPro on their Accord yet with the 07-08 TL Type S ECU or even an Accord ECU?

I hope there will be at least one more j series option on the market. Ken, avoid the Optima stuff. They were bought out and their manufacturing process was changed and the quality of their products is not what it used to be.

Well, it is cracked, my 03 AV6 has ran both a 07TLS ECU and a 08 TL ECU. Am now making fully P&P harnesses that require no splicing/tapping/repinning of anytype, harness just plugs in.

WHAAAAAAAAT?!  That sounds awesome.  I may need to go back through and re-read all of this, but it sounds like some good progress has been made.

LOL, I am already making 6 harnesses for the 7th gen and 04/05 TL.

It's about time for us to get a real tuning solution, doug and I had a nice long conversation yesterday and he owns a 05 TL himself, LOL.
