I drive a AV6-6 and lately the clutch pedal sometimes feels soft when i'm releasing it.  It's usually only under higher rpm like gearing down to pass someone on the highway or running through the gears to get on the interstate.  I checked for leaks and topped off my fluid.  Are there any adjustments that can be made to the pedal.  or could my clutch be going out on me?  Ideas?

1. Check your rubber clutch hose (follow the steel line from the slave cylinder) for outer case splits or bubbles.
2. Possibly clutch wearing out, find a steep hill, put the car in a higher gear to where rpms are under 1K and punch the gas, if rpms rise without a equivelant rise in speed (clutch slipping) you are running out of time for replacement.
3. Less of a posibility, but does happen, a release bearing on the way out.

Could be that there is moisture in the line or the pressure plate is dying. How many miles on the car? Try bleeding the system first. If that doesn't help you need a new clutch.

I had this problem and it was gone when my clutch was replaced. Correct me if I am wrong but another possibility could be the springs in the pressure plate gone bad?
