Outdoor Gear thread

Post outdoor discussions here such as camping, fishing, hunting, anything outdoor related and gear for said outdoorsy things.

So I am looking at assembling an EDC(everyday carry) bag. It will house, numerous things I use throughout the day and some things it is just good to keep on hand, First aid, Pens, Fixed blade knife, folding knife, notepad, etc. The only thing I cannot decide on is the bag itself. I am thinking about a Maxpedition Remora bag, it is small and will hold everything effectively. On the other hand, I could go with a blackhawk or Camelbak bag that will do the same(only larger and more like a backpack) but will also carry the water I drink every day(1 gallon) Which would yall go with and why?

I haven't really put much thought into anything like that.  I do like camelbacks though.  I have one for when I ride, and it's great having the hydration available.  It has almost no storage though, so I can't really comment on that part.

Honestly Country, I've used the Camelbak bags and I like how they have the water bladder in them. IIRC, the Blackhawk bags have the option or can accommodate the water bladders in them. Depending which model of either you go with, they have an abundance of pouches and shit to carry a bunch of gear and oftentimes have those handy little loops to clip shit onto.

I put a Camelbak on our wedding registry, i guess it's not a common wedding gift lol we did get a tent though Great places to camp in Raymond NH

Both the bags I mentioned have the molle loops on the outside which is a big plus. My friend is wanting me to start hiking with him. And the water would greatly come on handy then too

The bladder is removable. It has it's own compartment. They also have tablets you can fill the bag and drop a tab in

I'm pretty sure this is the same pack that a friend of mine has. It is really comfortable with a lot of weight in it. It's much more comfortable than my Kelty pack. The quality seems to be pretty good. He bought his off of Optics Planet too.
