I skimmed over the fact that you had a coupe.  If I were you, I would go with 18x8.5 +48 in the front and 18x8.5 +35 in the rear with 255/40/18.

I don't have any fender mods done but if necessary, I will. No cambers yet, I'm just planning ahead.

Would it be possible to run 235/40/18 on the 18x7.5 wheel? Maybe the wider tire might help it seem more flush? And how badly would it throw the speedo off?
For reference, my car is a coupe. Stock tires = 205/60/16.

If I can run 235 on the 18x7.5 then I would eliminate the 18x8.5 as my option then.

You can run 235 on a 18x7.5 wheel, yes.

So it sounds like you want something wider without going extreme.  18x7.5 +43 looks to be your option.  If it doesn't sit as flush as you want with the fender, you could always consider spacers.

Alpha, I did look up the tire calculator and running 235 vs 225, is only 1.1 %  diameter difference. Only thing is, the recommended wheel width for 235 is 8in - 9.5 in.

I am running 215/55/16 on my stock wheels that came with 205/60/16 tires. Only thing is, the lip on the wheel seems "sunk" in now, so would running those 235's on the 18x7.5 yield the same result?

FWIW, I'd get the 18x8.5 +48 with 255 or 265's.  If they're not flush, I'd run spacers.  I didn't do the math to see what would be closest to your stock tire size so your speedo would't be thrown off, so take that into consideration.

I looked and the only size where my speedo isn't thrown off at all is 245/45/17 for the 17's. I'm tempted to get the 17's but then again I haven't seen enough 7th gen's running aftermarket 17's. The majority run 18's so idk =/

Alpha, I'm not looking to do a staggered set up. I rather still want to be able to rotate my tires. I bet it would look good tho on the coupe. My brother who has a 8th gen coupe wants to go with a set up similar. Thanks!

i just got 225/45/18's on my 18x7.5 and they are basically identical width, so 235 i think would easily work on 7.5 and just be a tiny bit wider than the wheel

Since with you have a coupe

i'd take the 18x8.5 and go 245 or 255 with an offset of +35

The funny thing with tires is that the same width can be different sizes when going across brands.  So, a 235/45/17 Bridgestone can be wider than a 235/45/17 Michelin.  Each tire is made differently, some are narrower and some are wider in the same respective size.

There is a chance that 235 on a 7.5" wheel will yield the same result, yes.  It all depends on the tire choice.

There are plenty of people running aftermarket 17s on the Accord.  A lot of the people on this forum run 17s from another Honda product, i.e. TL wheels and TL-S wheels that are 17x8 +45.

Ok, in that case, I would recommend the same as Tim's recommendation.  18x8.5 +48 with 255/40/18.  If you want to make the rear more flush, get spacers.

I'm thinking about it. Only thing stopping me is that the 18x8.5 weights 22 lbs (5lbs more than 18x7.5) and it cost more so I might jus do what tim said and get spacers.

FWIW, I have 245/40/18 on my 18"x7.5" +42 mm wheels.  You can run wider tires if you want to.  If it were me, I would get the widest wheels that I could fit under my car.  Of course, I have a little more power than most people, so grip is an issue.

so im looking at a set of 17x7 +43 and didnt know what the best size tire would be. i want to stay close to my oem rolling diameter which the stock tires are 205/60-16. any info would be appreciated.
