So now my gas door won't open at all. There's some lose wires and electrical tape keeping the Y split together...what a half ass job. My regular shop wants to charge me 200 to replace the whole cable. I'm at a half a tank, so I have a few more days to decide......grrrr

The chord is 40 bucks. The dealership wanted 400 dollars..to install. .i was trying not to laugh...i found a DIY online..i think my friend Jason is going to check it out friday..

I have a feeling the cord is probably a PITA to replace but $400 is ridiculous.

Yeah it looks like a PITA...whats that clear plastic tube that's just hanging behind the fabric over the gas door inside? It just ends...doesn't that belong somewhere? Lol

It's actually not that bad in the sedan.  It's a slightly bigger pain in the coupe because of the rear interior panels.  Not sure about the clear plastic tube.  Pics?

During my "fisting session" in the car, I found a black rubber insert, attached to the side, and the tube fit right in.... i'm guessing that's it's home. I'm giving it another go with my friend Jason tomorrow, I'll take some pics of said random tube and the cruddy wire repair lol
