I'll start off by saying I'm fairly new to this site, and i just want some more experienced peoples advice. I have about 1k of money to spend on a final mod for my car, which is a black 05 accord coupe. i already have engine mods and i want to either drop the car or put new rims on it. It has stock 5 spoke alloys and i would get either tl-s rims or some gold gram lights. The suspension options would be the neuspeed super cup kit or function forms. Feedback is well appreciated.

My vote is the supercup kit out of those choices..  Rims without a drop doesn't look right..

but that being said, what do you have now? is there anything that may complement your current mods?

I'd be inclined to agree with Mark. The suspension would be the better option especially the supercup kit.

Stock wheels on a dropped car look good... aftermarket wheels + stock ride height = fail

I'm gonna have to agree with everyone else.  Drop with the Neuspeed supercup kit.  Don't get that Form and Function garbage.

my only problem with the super cup kit is that i'm going to need a spring compressor, and i have never used one before. With any coilovers they are just bolt on, and if i have to go to a shop that's going to be 4-5 hundred dollars more expensive. And with that money i can get much better coilovers. I want to try to save enough money for tein basics but i don't know if that's going to happen anytime soon..Plus the DIY pictures for "How to install lowering springs" don't work so i' pretty much clueless.   Cry

With any coilovers they are just bolt on,
that is not a true statement.  you may need a spring compressor for some coilover installations as well..  you can rent a spring compressor from an auto parts store for pretty cheap..

Tein Basics are pretty good, but you still need use a spring compressor because you need to re-use your top spring mounts.  You can rent a spring compressor from Auto Zone to use though.  It's really not that hard to replace your suspension.  It's 5 nuts and 2 bolts in the front and 2 nuts and one bolt in the rear.

But working a spring compressor is dangerous if you don't know what your doing.

A shop with the tools will run you $100 to swap over your top hats. Id vote for some TL-S or other Honda OEM wheels + coilovers, you find always find a good cheap set of wheels on craigslist.

Good luck

yeah i read the oem instructions on how to replace the struts it doesn't seem that hard, and i spoke to my father, who used to own a body shop, and he said he knows how to use one. Now the only remaining problem is the install...It's going to be kind of hard with over a foot of snow on the ground right now. It doesn't look like its letting up anytime soon Huh?

1 more neuspeed question.. Should i go with the lowest perch on the race springs or the second to lowest. I want minimal wheel gap with the most ride comfort.

You'll probably tuck on the lowest perch.  There's a guy on here that doesn't post that much, that I work with.  He installed the supercup kit on his car and it's pretty low.  I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure he's on the lowest perch.
