I heard they burn out faster. Plus my dad said you can't play video games on them. In some of the reading I did for research, it seemed like companies were abandoning it and focusing on LED instead...

I have a 60 inch LG plasma 600hz for my latest setup in one of my rooms I play games all the time there is no motion blur the plasmas gives a nice smooth quality picture that's y I picked it over LED. My movies and video games look amazing only thing is its heavy as hell took 2 of us to lift and mount on wall all the old issues pretty much been fix there is No burn in affects or non of that on recent ones

It's the 6 series, 1080p and 120hz, no smart tv though, we don't need it.
I think the only plasma there was a Panasonic...

Nice, Congratulations!
If I were to get a plasma, it would most likely be a Panasonic.. lol..
My Sharp has smart apps, or whatever Sharp calls it. I never use them.

I have a 60" Samsung plasma. I stuck with plasma because I like the picture quality and notice motion blurring with most of the LED's. I have even noticed motion blurring on the new Sony 4k tv's.

I went with Harmon Larson / klipsch surround sound and I'm pretty happy. I want with a smart tv and I'm with alpha... Only app I use is netflix which I could have gotten on any other device. I'm in the market for a 40 - 46 inch now for my game room... Waiting for a real good deal.
