I hate technology!!!
I had to download a practice program for my ARE exams. So I install it on my windows 7 laptop. Program doesn't work bc my version of windows is 64-bit and it needs to be 32-bit.
So now I need to download virtual pc and install windows xp on that side and reinstall the stupid program!!

Guess i'll put in my 2cents, i've used the imac in college, it was great for Photoshop and Illustrator, but I can't afford those programs now, and I love my Sony Vaio laptop, I spend more time away from home so a desktop would be inconvenient. I played with the Iphone before I got my Droid 3 and I wasn't impressed by it. The only Apple product I own is an Ipod classic. Apple is too expensive IMO. I'm with you Z, long live Android! And I don't want your sloppy seconds! Haha!

What do my sloppy seconds have anything to do with this? Weird.

So what you're saying is that Windows is just as difficult to keep up with as Apple? Maybe we're on to something here?
Companies are out to make money, so their
upgrades
make older software/hardware incompatible. It's a great method to nickel and dime their customers since this all ends up snowballing into a bigger mess. The shitty thing is that it really fucks things up for 3rd party companies that make supporting products or software. Everyone acts like it's the 3rd party company's fault when their product doesn't support the changes made by the primary manufacturer.

In this case, it is the responsibility of the third party company. 64-bit vs. 32-bit is not a matter of making more money. There are shortcomings of 32-bit OSes that make it apparent for 64-bit OSes to be installed. A company that only develops software for 32-bit needs to either catch up with the times or get out of the game because they will fail if they don't.

I feel like a god at electronics right now (even though I'm far from it). I took apart my old Viewsonic 20" computer monitor, removed the bulging capacitors, and put in new ones. Now it works like a charm. It was actually extremely easy despite the fact I've never soldered capacitors before.
My new monitor setup consists of two of these:

I gave the monitor I just fixed to my mom, since it was 16:10, and 16:9 monitors suck balls when 20" or smaller.

I hope you replaced the caps with the right ones.

I made sure that the capacitance and the voltages were different on the new ones. That's what I learned to do in Physics 2 last spring, do everything wrong and ass-backwards.
And by that I mean yeah. I got Rubycon caps with the exact same specs from badcaps.net. It was only like $9 total for the new ones. Better than tossing it and buying a new monitor.

It really sucks. I hate how 16:9 monitors are so damn wide and short. 16:10 monitors are a lot better since they're a little more square. I can't really tell with my new 24" monitors though since they're so large.
