Check for state programs as well. In RI depending on income the state offer mortgage programs for first time home buyers. I didn't quite qualify but its something else to look at.

Yeah. That's something I've been looking into. The weird thing is that some of these mortgage calculators are all wonky and I get a variation of close to 50% on monthly payments. I guess it's time to go through our finances and go to the bank.

We got the townhouse!!!  And aparently our credit was so good we only have to pay half of thr deposit.  Awesome!

Sat cant come soon enough... I know I can afford the rent, but itll be nice to know that I have that extra buffer.
