Saw 2 houses today, really liked the second one, needed a refinished hardwood floor on the 1st floor. But I have a question...my credit is 3 points away from qualifying to be used on our loan. Right now Rob is approved for 200,000.  Is there anything I can do to bring my credit up? I've been looking as gas credit cards, and secured cards. The girl at the mortgage co, said to put my name on Rob's credit card accounts, but will that hurt his credit? And how long will it take to bring my credit up that way.. there's so many scams I don't want to get screwed. I haven't had a credit card in almost 10 years because i'm afraid of them...

applying for cards will pull ur score lower for the short tern inquiries subtract points
