well we had a blast so there will definitely be a next time. i did forget the camera so unfortunately no pics this time. i got in about 8 runs and gmoney had more than that, he will have to verify. i was having some electrical issues later in the night but eventually got them fixed. the whole evening we both we trying to get used to launching on a track, it was completely different than the street. normally i have my launch control set to 3k but on the track i was able to up it 5k and i think i can probably go beyond that. due to the chemicals and rubber that are on the track, the cars hook far quicker. my last run of the night was my best in which i ran a 10.06 . i averaged around 10.2 all night. gmoney and i didn't get the opportunity to run but i think his best time was just under 10 sec. he can verify that as well. i did smoke a few other cars and one truck which were a new cobalt ss, the last body style impalla, a first gen integra, and 5.4 l f-150. i wish it had been a 1/4 mile track because i typically was just shifting into 3rd when i was crossing the finish, so i would love to see what i could do with more room! all in all it was a great night and i look forward to the next.

Sounds like a good time. I may have to try and plan a weekend to run at the track with you guys after I put my car on a diet.

f that, with what you have under the hood there is no need for a diet to run against us.

Well, yeah. I know that. Do you know how much extra weight I have in my car though? I just want to know what I could run at the track if I removed some of the extra weight.

Good idea Dave. I'll be in the area soon enough for a few things. I wish I could hit the track with you though.

Too bad they dont run 1/4 mile.. is your car a v6? what did you run.. My brother had a v6 6speed sedan, with intake and exhaust he ran 13.9@101.
I ran 15.41@91 in my 4cyl 5speed 07 sedan, with NO interior.. NOTHING. is that a record? lol.. bone stock no intake no muffler nothing. stock height stock tires.

Sorry I haven't logged on in a while. But anyway's David and I had a blast as he previously stated. We both had completely different launch issues since we have completely different cars. I was attempting to dump my clutch but AWD with my lack of power doesn't like that on the track at all. I would rev up and then when I hit the sticky stuff my car would immediately bog down and it made my 60 foot times awful. I was running 2.5 60'.
But I just went back by myself this last friday and got my 60' times down to 2.054 by slipping my clutch. I'm definitely still not happy with that. I should be able to run at least a 1.7 60' but definitely pleased with the .5 second drop and it paid off I got my best time down to a 9.4 with this heat and my lack of a big front mount intercooler I left somewhat satisfied. I just know this car will run 8's and I am the one holding it back.
If any of you have any interest in drag racing I say do it you will be hooked.
