Has anyone ever sanded/polished the IM?
Ill probably try some brushes on the pulley side, to much crevices for me to sand.

Yes, there was a guy that polished their IM. It looked pretty good.

Porting and polishing an IM is different from polishing the exterior of an IM. One is for looks, while the other is for performance.

Because halogen housings are not meant to have HID bulbs. The reflector of halogen housings have "hot spots" which are designed to reflect a little bit of light above the cutoff line. When you put bulbs that are 5-10 times brighter it creates glare which is just like having your high beams on. It may be brighter for you, but it's unsafe for other cars on the road.

These were my original choice, having no smoked amber at all and no angel eyes (not a fan of those), But they arent projectors?

Actually, those projectors suck. There's a reason why those kinds of headlights are so cheap. It's because they are cheap. Your best option is to get a projector retrofit. That way the output will be good and you will do it safely.

I'd wait and do it right. If you source the parts and do the work yourself, it's not that expensive.
