I'm planning to buy a Galaxy Nexus once it releases, and Samsung and Google should be confirming a release date today as well.  It looks like it'll be November 10th from the current rumors about a tentative release date.

Not with jailbreaking.

Anyway, with the last few ios releases, jailbreaking has become unnecessary. A lot of the reasons people jailbroke were because there were features that weren't available before. IMO, the only benefit to jailbreaking now is to be able to theme your phone. That's it.

The illegal and frowned upon free app store is another reason why many people jailbreak. Or unlocking features in your phone that you usually have to pay for ie tethering and creating hotspots.  I have had to jailbreak to enable some things while overseas also like facetime for example. But you're right slowly but surely they're getting rid of most of the reasons to jailbreak

Keeping that one too lol. I just saw this one for 150 slightly used, and its a device I wanted to check out. I'll probably stick with the nexus s in the long run. On another note is anyone interested in an OEM Samsung Galaxy S dock? I'll sell it cheap because I hardly ever use that phone so its just taking up space.

Someone finally cooked up a kernel for my phone. Overclocking and CM7 are in my future. This guy is stoked.

You'll love CM7. It's by far the best ROM out there. I prefer it over MIUI because it's about as close to a stock Android experience as you can get. Plus you can theme it if you want. Right now I have my phone overclocked to 1.2ghz, however I may have to change that. Lately I've been getting about 10 hours a day on my phone, with the extended battery. CM7 is known to be a battery hog on my phone, though. They're still working on that.

i wish CM7  was out for me any day now though. At least  i got to root and delete the stock apps i didt like so my stock rom feels smoother now

I haven't run CM7 on my Dinc2 yet, but I dont think I will.. I've been running MIUI flawlessly for the past month or two and I love it.  The theming capabilities are awesome!  I'll have to post some screenshots soon...
