The FCC investigation is still pending Mike. They haven't dropped the investigation yet.

They will end up loading it with bloatware like everything else. They have a great network but, there business ethics are questionable at best, and at they end of the day they are all about the money. I mean they are refunding $50 million dollar of "mystery charges" and they are not being charged with a fucking crime!
I'd hope Apple wouldn't allow them to put any "bloatware" on it, but who knows. I don't have a clue what it is but it sounds bad! What exactly is bloatware?

I guess he has money to burn. I'd rather waste my money on parts that actually make my car faster, hookers, and drugs. Fucking amateurs. :

It's Verizon shit they put on your phone, and you have no way to remove it without hacking your phone. Stuff like Verizon VZ Navigator (a paid subscription is required for verizon maps, whereas google maps is free. WTF) and a bunch of other shit that I can't remember at the moment.

That's gay. I know my Black Jack had a bunch of pointless apps on it that I couldn't delete. I guess that was bloatware.

But as long as you root your phone (or jailbreak for the iPhone... I'm not sure if that will let you remove bloatware) you'll be fine.

Thats basically bloatware. I'm sure verizon will stick it all over the iphone. Most companies buy the hardware, and software (actual code) modify said code to include there shit, and then sell it to the consumer. Of course removing such code voids your warranty.

As exclusive as Apple is with their software, I just honestly don't see them allowing Verizon to do that. I assume a Droid phone on AT&T has the same bloatware, but it's nowhere to be found on the iPhone.

Verizon wasn't allowed to touch the Droid 1 actually.. you could download verizon bloatware, but it wasn't installed by default. From the start, it was barebones android.
just saw that the Nexus One got FM radio.. too bad no one really listens to FM radio anymore..

Bill I promise you it's coming to the iphone. It's the new way to make money. Verizon is fine without the Iphone as much as you don't want to admit it I'd venture to say this endeavor (contract I assume) is largely in Verizons favor. Bloatware is a way for companies to make money they are doing everything they can at this point! I hope the I phone goes to all carriers the better they do the more driven it's competitors are to compete its a win win in my eyes.

I honestly don't care what Verizon does to the iPhone as long as it never affects mine. I'd prefer they don't fuck it up, but like I said as long as it doesn't affect me.

I have a feeling future Iphones might catch the bloatware. If your competitor is doing and making money why shouldn't you. I don't agree with the idea but, I could see it happening.

jeff.. not going to lie, my homescreen is nearly identical to yours.. beautiful widgets flip clock with the weather in the middle, battery gauge in the middle with the same color scheme, camera on the left.. and then I switch it up, no video button, I swapped that for my Google Nav. Oh, how'd you get that red bar over your dock?
